Faena Hotel Tango Show

About a month ago, I might this great girl named May, who's from San Francisco, at the gym. She's a teacher and spent a month of her summer vacation in Buenos Aires. We spent a lot of time trying new restaurants, headed to a few nightclubs, did shopping, etc. It was great to hang out with her. One of the people May met got us into the Faena Hotel tango show, which is arguably one of the best shows in the city and very expensive. We made friends with the manager of the show and got in for free! It was so much fun to see the dancers and even though we weren't supposed to film, I took a short film of their version of the "Roxanne" number from Moulin Rouge because it's my favorite scene in the whole film.

May and I at the Faena Hotel.

This picture's really dark, but I loved all of the glasses on the table, the red walls and the candlelight.

Here's my short, clandestine video of "Roxanne."

Mark arrived yesterday so I'll be putting up a new post soon. Have a great day!

Toquinho and Maria Creuza Concert

Last night, I went with Eugenia and Geraldine (two of the women from Google Buenos Aires) to hear a fantastic musician, Toquinho, at the Gran Rex Theater downtown. The concert was a lot of fun-- he had a guest performer, Maria Creuza. He even came out for three encores!

Here's some footage of Toquinho coming out on stage for the first time.

And here's some footage of Maria Creuza.

And here's the three of us after the concert on 9 de Julio with the obelisk in the background :)
